Dec 2019: Update after using the new app version for a few weeks to be fair it's an overall improvement to the old app. I would say the big issue is accessing on-demand content. It's extremely difficult to navigate on-demand content when live schedules have been changed. Granted this is a difficult issue but it would be great to flag on-demand broadcasts when the schedule had been changed at that time so you can tell before clicking and loading the video. Another + for the new app version no longer requiring GPS location to be enabled on the device so I can now use it on an Android tablet which lacked GPS. I would quite like the app to remember the last sport you selected when navigating to on-demand. It seems to default to cycling, which is only useful for 6 months or so of the year :) March 2016: Update to version 3.3.1 (Mar 17th 2016) no longer worked on my tablet (KitKat). Kept the apk of the previous version (3.2.3) and worked perfectly again... for now. It's only a matter of time though. No doubt there will be a forced update at some point in the near future and at that point I would probably have to cancel my subscription after all these years.

I occasionally use it to watch back sports events I missed (mainly tennis). Unfortunately it is near-impossible to watch back a sports game without seeing the results first. Before you arrive at the specific game you want to replay, you have to browse through various screens with huge titles and images that spoil the result. Even if I somehow manage to find the game without spoilers, the video time tells me how many sets are played. This shows zero understanding of your users Eurosport.

This is my latest version of a periodic Eurosport app review.. the interface gets cleaner with the updates as the years roll by but the stability seems to go backwards at times (for clarity I'm getting the 'technical error' message). I persist because Eurosport is sporting content royalty but please please please sort it out. I know getting apps sorted for a range of devices is tricky but I am paying for that to be done. I'll even pay a bit extra for a year to get over the development hump!!
