Supercell\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0strategy title\u00a0Clash Royale<\/strong>\u00a0has come up with their\u00a0Season 44 update titled Love and Magic<\/strong>\u00a0this February 2023. Focusing on\u00a0Valentine\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>month, the theme is also named on that basis. With some new events and moments of magic coming, let us see what this update has in store for us, along with the discussion of the\u00a0balance changes<\/strong>\u00a0that are going to be live soon.<\/p>\n

Clash Royale Love and Magic February 2023 Update details<\/h2>\n

New Tower skins<\/h3>\n

To start things off, Supercell has come up with two new Tower skins that can be equipped by the players, the\u00a0Love Potion<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Magic Archer Tower<\/strong>. It\u2019ll be decorating the towers with the Arena itself being the focus with the Love and Magic theme.<\/p>\n

Decorated with pink with a sparkle of gold, the\u00a0Love Potion<\/strong>\u00a0looks very romantic. On the other hand,\u00a0Magic Archer Tower skin<\/strong>\u00a0comes with a\u00a0jungle green color<\/strong>\u00a0with a wood accent, which gives off game-in-the-wild vibes. Both the tower skins look amazing overall.<\/p>\n

Magic Archer event<\/h3>\n

The sniping magician will be the focus of the event, with an amazing ability that will blow your head off. The\u00a0Super Magic Archer can now hypnotize the opponent troops or building to fall for his charm and turn them to your side with those love arrows shooting at them<\/strong>. So don\u2019t miss out on this chance of having the magic in your hands!<\/p>\n

New Emotes and Banners<\/h3>\n

Do not forget to get your hands on the new\u00a0Magic Archer, Golem,<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Sparky Emotes<\/strong>! They can be unlocked with the coming exclusive events within the game.<\/p>\n

Battle Banners<\/strong>\u00a0are something that you would love to equip, and this update leaves no shortage for them too. Some amazing banners are revealed in the trailer, so make sure you don\u2019t forget to keep an eye on the shop to have some of the themed banners this time.<\/p>\n

Other updates<\/h3>\n

The\u00a0Pass Royale<\/strong>\u00a0is also coming soon with themed rewards that are up for grabs in both the free and paid section. Among them is a free Rare Book of Cards that will be available, so don\u2019t miss out! New boosted cards will also be coming with the update.<\/p>\n

Clash Royale February 2023 Balance Changes<\/h2>\n

Here is the overview of the balance changes that\u2019ll happen this season. These changes will be live on February 7th, 2023.<\/p>\n

Monk<\/h4>\n

After his elixir cost was changed from 4 to 5, Monk\u2019s usage within the Clash Royale community was down. With the upcoming balance change to his Hit Speed, the makers see him to be used more often now.<\/p>\n

  • Hit Speed<\/strong>: -0.1sec (11% faster)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Firecracker<\/h4>\n

    Due to the off timing of the shots she used to fire, it was frustrating. She doesn\u2019t shoot sometimes even if there are enemies right in front of her. Hence a buff was needed.<\/p>\n

    • First Hit<\/strong>: -0.4sec (40% faster)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Archers<\/h4>\n

      As mentioned by the makers, Archers are overshadowed by other ranged support cards, particularly Dart Goblin. To be more viable in the current meta, they are making them a viable anti-swarm Troop with decent DPS.<\/p>\n

        Goblin Giant<\/h4>\n

        Like the Monk, the use rates of Goblin Giant are low. Hence for a change, they are buffed as per elixir cost.<\/p>\n

          Knight (Buff)<\/h4>\n

          Knight has been losing out to other cards like Valkyrie and, to some extent, Royal Ghost. So a buff was needed to bring him back into the meta. To increase the Knight\u2019s performance in 1v1s against similar cards, hitpoints have been increased.<\/p>\n

            The crown tower finisher will be less effective now.<\/p>\n

            • Crown Tower Damage<\/strong>: -17%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Phoenix<\/h4>\n

              One of the strongest cards in the game gets a \u2018reborn\u2019 nerf. Their idea behind this change to kill two birds with one stone by scaling down a reborn Phoenix\u2019s strength and also making it look different to a fresh\u00a0Phoenix<\/strong>\u00a0by reducing its visual effects and size.<\/p>\n

                The Log<\/h4>\n

                Its pushback ability will be getting a little weaker.<\/p>\n

                  Archer Queen<\/h4>\n

                  The Queen will now take a little longer to charge up her crossbow before taking the first shot on a target.<\/p>\n
