Clash of Clans<\/strong>\u00a0is all set and ready to introduce some new features to us with a new update, while we await the month of February 2025 to be a blockbuster. We have plenty to discuss about this new update, as at the time of writing, we have two parts shared. So let me dig into the details for you and explain what new things we\u2019ll be getting with this update.<\/p>\n

Currently, I have two sneak peeks for the Clash of Clans February 2025 update. From this, we can see the update introduces several new level upgrades for troops, spells, and buildings, along with a brand-new defense and a unique siege machine.<\/p>\n

<\/span>New Defense: Multi-Gear Tower<\/h3>\n

The\u00a0Multi-Gear Tower<\/strong>\u00a0is a newly merged defense that combines the\u00a0Geared-Up Archer Tower<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Geared-Up Cannon<\/strong>\u00a0into a single, versatile structure. Unlike previously merged defenses such as the\u00a0Ricochet Cannon<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0Multi-Archer Tower<\/strong>, this new defense requires progress in the\u00a0Builder Base<\/strong>\u00a0to unlock.<\/p>\n

You must be at\u00a0Town Hall 17<\/strong>\u00a0and merge a\u00a0Geared-Up Cannon<\/strong>\u00a0and a\u00a0Geared-Up Archer Tower<\/strong>\u00a0both at max level 21 to construct it. Once built, the\u00a0Multi-Gear Tower<\/strong>\u00a0offers two attack modes:\u00a0Archer Tower (Long Range) Mode<\/strong>, which has a range of 12 tiles and a medium attack speed, and\u00a0Cannon (Fast Attack) Mode<\/strong>, which has a shorter 8-tile range but fires rapidly with burst damage.<\/p>\n

While Archer Tower Mode provides broader coverage,\u00a0Cannon Mode<\/strong>\u00a0excels against high-HP troops. Both modes can target ground and air units. However, unlike other defenses, the\u00a0Multi-Gear Tower<\/strong>\u00a0cannot be Supercharged.<\/p>\n

<\/span>New Siege Machine: Troop Launcher<\/h3>\n

You can draw a comparison of this with a\u00a0Super Card<\/strong>\u00a0in\u00a0Clash Royale<\/strong>, as we have a\u00a0Barbarian<\/strong>\u00a0launching Mortar there. The\u00a0Troop Launcher\u00a0<\/strong>is a new stationary Siege Machine introduced at\u00a0Town Hall 16<\/strong>, unlocked by upgrading the Workshop to Level 8. Unlike other siege units, the Troop Launcher does not move but compensates with unlimited range, allowing it to support allies from a safe distance.<\/p>\n

As I mentioned, it launches barrels filled with troops, each containing one Clan Castle troop, one\u00a0Giant<\/strong>, and a mix of\u00a0Barbarians, Archers<\/strong>, and\u00a0Wall Breakers<\/strong>, with the number of troops scaling based on its level. It functions similarly to the\u00a0Siege Barracks<\/strong>, gradually losing HP over time, and if destroyed before all barrels are deployed, the remaining ones will not be launched.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Minion Prince New Equipment: Metal Pants<\/h3>\n

The\u00a0Minion Prince<\/strong>\u00a0is getting a brand-new\u00a0Common Hero Equipment<\/strong>\u00a0called\u00a0Metal Pants<\/strong>. This defensive gear creates a protective barrier that absorbs a percentage of incoming damage while active. Additionally, it provides a healing effect and an increase in\u00a0max HP<\/strong>\u00a0when used.<\/p>\n

<\/span>New Helper: The Alchemist<\/h3>\n

A brand-new\u00a0Helper<\/strong>,\u00a0The Alchemist<\/strong>, joins the\u00a0Helper Hut at Town Hall 11<\/strong>. This character converts resources from one type to another once per day. She can be unlocked for\u00a0100 Gems<\/strong>\u00a0and has a cooldown of\u00a023 hours<\/strong>\u00a0before being used again.<\/p>\n

Once activated, players can select\u00a0Gold, Elixir<\/strong>, or\u00a0Dark Elixir<\/strong>\u00a0to convert into another resource type, with a sliding scale to adjust the conversion amount. Higher-level Alchemists can convert more resources and gain better bonuses. Stats for the same are listed below.<\/p>\n

The conversion process is instant, but an animation follows for one hour, during which The Alchemist enters cooldown mode. Players cannot overflow their storage when converting resources; a warning will appear if this happens.<\/p>\n

<\/span>New Feature: Wall Tools<\/h3>\n

Upgrading Walls has always been a hassle, but this update makes things much easier with the new\u00a0Wall Tools<\/strong>\u00a0feature. Now, you can select multiple Walls of the same level and upgrade them all at once instead of doing it one by one.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a new\u00a0Upgrade More<\/strong>\u00a0button that lets you quickly select Walls in groups of 10 for batch upgrades, saving time and effort. Plus, placing newly unlocked Walls is now free, so you won\u2019t have to worry about extra costs. I see these changes make base progression much smoother, especially at higher Town Hall levels, where Walls are usually a major grind.<\/p>\n

You can now also upgrade 75 additional walls to Level 18, increasing the limit from 100 to 175 upgraded walls.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Balance Adjustments for Equipment and Hard Mode<\/h3>\n

This update brings several balance changes, particularly for\u00a0Hard Mode<\/strong>\u00a0and Equipment limitations. Defending Heroes now receive\u00a0+20% HP<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0DPS<\/strong>\u00a0since they lack Equipment, while\u00a0Defense Buildings<\/strong>\u00a0deal +20% more DPS to strengthen base defenses.<\/p>\n

On the attacking side, Heroes now have\u00a0-10% HP<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0DPS\u00a0<\/strong>to keep battles balanced. Additionally, Equipment caps have been adjusted, limiting\u00a0Common Equipment to level 15<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Epic Equipment to level 21<\/strong>. These changes aim to make defensive play more impactful while ensuring attack strategies remain challenging.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Resource and Economy Adjustments<\/h3>\n

Several improvements have been made to resource management and in-game purchases.\u00a0Gem<\/strong>\u00a0prices for resources in the\u00a0Trader Shop\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Clan War League Shop<\/strong>\u00a0have been reduced, making purchases more affordable. Storage capacity increases for\u00a0Town Hall 14+<\/strong>\u00a0allowing players to stockpile more\u00a0Gold, Elixir<\/strong>, and\u00a0Dark Elixir<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Additionally, chest rewards from\u00a0Town Hall 12<\/strong>\u00a0onwards now provide more resources and upgrade costs for certain buildings and traps have been lowered to speed up progression. At\u00a0Town Hall 17<\/strong>, the maximum storage capacity has been raised to\u00a028 million Gold<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Elixir<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0460,000 Dark Elixir<\/strong>, making it easier to save up for major upgrades.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Bug Fixes and QoL Improvements<\/h3>\n

This update also includes multiple bug fixes and quality-of-life changes. Clan Capital Battles will no longer end early when using a\u00a0Graveyard Spell<\/strong>, and\u00a0Phoenix\u2019s Egg<\/strong>\u00a0will no longer get stuck in Walls. Legendary Scenery camera scrolling issues have been fixed, and defending Clan Castle troops can now be freely set for\u00a0Friendly Challenges\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Legend League<\/strong>, removing the need to request them. Troop training times have also been reduced for units like\u00a0Dragons, Minions, Valkyries, Lava Hounds, Yetis<\/strong>, and more.<\/p>\n
