Clash Royale<\/strong>\u00a0is bringing back the\u00a0Retro Royale<\/strong>. Yes, you read it right. What is a fantastic game mode all around, I believe some players might not know about this, so this space will explain all about this mode and why many of you might like it.<\/p>\n

Retro Royale is coming to Clash Royale on March 12, 2025<\/h2>\n

As I mentioned earlier, the Retro Royale event is bringing back the 2017 Clash Royale experience! This event runs from\u00a0March 12 to March 26, 2025,<\/strong>\u00a0and introduces a special mode where you can use only cards available in the game back in 2017.<\/p>\n

Note that this is back as a\u00a0Temporary ladder<\/strong>; news of making it permanent is not confirmed. Now, what is exciting is that this mode lets players experience the game as it was back in 2017, so no\u00a0Champions<\/strong>,\u00a0Evolutions<\/strong>, or any of those modern mechanics spoil the fun.<\/p>\n

80 OG cards will be present, chipping off from the\u00a0120 number<\/strong>. Matches will be held in the OG arena itself. It looks a little dull, yes, but it brings back memories of the time when there were no tower skins or arena changes.<\/p>\n

Retro Royale brings both Casual and Competitive modes<\/h2>\n

The mode has two leagues:\u00a0Casual\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Competitive<\/strong>. In Casual mode, you can play freely without any restrictions. Competitive mode is unlocked after you win 30 matches. A leaderboard will track the top players, so you can see how you rank against others.<\/p>\n

As you progress, you\u2019ll earn rewards like\u00a0Season Tokens, Gold,<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Chests<\/strong>. However, there\u2019s no level cap either, so higher-level cards will have an advantage. Coming to the meta, you can expect to see a lot of\u00a0Giant, Pekka Bridge Spam, Golem<\/strong>, and\u00a0Log Bait decks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I think I\u2019ll be using something similar. As the meta evolves, other players might also come up with new variations of classic decks to adapt accordingly.<\/p>\n
