Metal Gear Solid 3<\/em>\u2019s Naked Snake\u2014voiced by the character\u2019s original actor David Hayter\u2014arrives in\u00a0Delta Force\u00a0on Jan. 1 as a new appearance option for the game\u2019s stealth-assault character Nox.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Metal Gear Solid\u00a0<\/em>collaboration with the free-to-play shooter starts with the new season, Ahsarah, which lands on Dec. 19 and culminates with the new appearance in the new year.\u00a0Delta Force<\/em>\u00a0Game Director Shadow Guo said the idea of collaborating with Konami stemmed from the team\u2019s longtime love of\u00a0Metal Gear Solid<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI myself am a big fan of the\u00a0Metal Gear Solid<\/em>\u00a0franchise, like many developers from our team, because we grew up playing this series,\u201d he said. \u201cMetal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater<\/em>\u00a0is one of my favorite installments, and\u00a0METAL GEAR SOLID \u0394: SNAKE EATER<\/em>\u00a0is such a wonderful way to revisit a classic.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith\u00a0Delta Force<\/em>\u00a0being an Operator-based tactical shooter, we feel the theme and genre of\u00a0Metal Gear Solid<\/em>\u00a0is just right for our game, and offers a great opportunity for our team to deliver something really cool for both\u00a0Delta Force<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Metal Gear Solid<\/em>\u00a0players. So we talked with the KONAMI team and, boom, we have this collaboration!\u201d<\/p>\n

The initial discussion between\u00a0Delta Force<\/em>\u00a0developer Team Jade and Konami kicked off with the\u00a0Delta Force<\/em>\u00a0team saying they wanted to do something with Naked Snake.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a very iconic character, and it just so happens that Konami was about to release\u00a0Metal Gear Solid \u0394: Snake Eater<\/em>, so we quickly agreed on this very character,\u201d Guo said.<\/p>\n

As mentioned, Naked Snake will appear in\u00a0Delta Force<\/em>\u00a0as an Operator Appearance for Nox. Nox arrived in April with\u00a0Delta Force<\/em>\u2019s Season Four. He wears night vision goggles, and his gear and gadgets are designed around stealth\u2014including an ability that reduces sounds and gives him a movement boost, a small tracking drone that explodes on contact, and a tactical flashbang.<\/p>\n

Now players have the ability to pair this stealthy character with a new Naked Snake look in both the game\u2019s Operations and Warfare multiplayer modes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe chose Nox as we feel this is the best match,\u201d Guo said. \u201cIf you look at his backstory, Nox has a long and complicated history, and his fighting style emphasizes stealthy combat and precise timing. We feel this character really resonates very well with Naked Snake.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, how can you give Nox the look of Naked Snake without also giving him his voice?<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so grateful that the wonderful Konami team helped make this happen,\u201d Guo said. \u201cOur team was over the moon to work with David Hayter! Together with the Konami team, we have created over 500 lines for this collaboration, and we can\u2019t wait for players to hear them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guo declined to go into the specifics of how Naked Snake is being incorporated into the game, saying he\u2019d rather players find out for themselves. He did say that the collaboration will also include themed Firearm Appearances, collectible items, and more.<\/p>\n

And with the\u00a0Metal Gear Solid<\/em>\u00a0collab on the cusp of release, the team behind\u00a0Delta Force<\/em>\u00a0is already working on future collaborations. Guo said the team believes that partnering with other titles is a great way to bridge different communities, while at the same time, introducing meaningful new content to\u00a0Delta Force<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur team had a lot of fun making this collaboration a reality, and we hope the players will enjoy everything we have prepared,\u201d he said. \u201cAs we head into 2026,\u00a0Delta Force<\/em>\u00a0will have even more awesome content for our players\u2014new maps, new Operators, new and exciting ways to play the game (like full-scene destruction in Warfare mode), and even more, and we can\u2019t wait for our players to experience them all!\u201d<\/p>\n
