Durin enters the roster as our first new playable Hexerein character.<\/p>\n

Our (formerly) little dragon is a versatile off-field Pyro damage dealer that fits into many teams.<\/p>\n

The Basics<\/h2>\n

Durin has 2 forms you can choose, depending on Elemental Skill input.<\/p>\n

These forms change how his Elemental Burst functions.<\/p>\n

Light Form (Skill -> Skill):<\/p>\n

- Multi-target<\/p>\n

- Shreds Resistance of Pyro, Dendro, Electro, Anemo, and Geo through matching Pyro reactions<\/p>\n

Dark Form (Skill -> Normal Attack):<\/p>\n

- Single target<\/p>\n

- Boosts Durin's Vaporize and Melt damage<\/p>\n

For his basic rotation:<\/p>\n

  1. Use Skill to gain energy.<\/li>\n
  2. Choose a form.<\/li>\n
  3. Use his Burst.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Elemental Skill - Binary Form: Convergence and Division <\/strong><\/p>\n

    His skill has 2 primary purposes.<\/p>\n

    1. Choosing his form<\/p>\n

    The Dark form is activated by using Skill -> Attack.<\/p>\n

    The Light form is activated by using Skill -> Skill.<\/p>\n

    2. Restoring energy<\/p>\n

    Just by choosing a form, Durin will get Elemental Energy.<\/p>\n

    The energy gain scales with talent level.<\/p>\n

    At talent level 9, the skill restores 30 energy.<\/p>\n

    Durin's Elemental Burst requires 70 energy, which means his skill can restore half the energy required for his burst by itself, including the energy particles generated.<\/p>\n

    Elemental Burst - Principle of Purity: As the Light Shifts <\/strong><\/p>\n

    Durin's Elemental Burst is his main form of damage.<\/p>\n

    Its effects change depending on Durin's form.<\/p>\n

    The Dark form (Skill -> Attack) is single target and primarily for Vaporize and Melt teams.<\/p>\n

    The Light form (Skill -> Skill) is multi target and works for every other team.<\/p>\n

    Durin's ascension talents add extra effects to his Burst.<\/p>\n

    The first, Light Manifest of the Divine Calculus, emphasizes his role in different teams.<\/p>\n

    The Dark form focuses on improving Durin's personal damage in Vaporize and Melt teams.<\/p>\n

    The Light form focuses on how Durin improves the damage of party members in other teams.<\/p>\n

    With at least 1 other Hexerei member on your team, these effects are boosted.<\/p>\n

    The second, Chaos Formed Like the Night, just increases the damage of his Burst.<\/p>\n

    It scales off of Durin's ATK, increasing his damage for every 100 ATK until 2500 ATK.<\/p>\n

    What does Durin bring?<\/h2>\n

    Hexerein <\/strong><\/p>\n

    Durin is our first new Hexerein character.<\/p>\n

    As an off-field character, Durin can work with many teams.<\/p>\n

    Since the Hexerein passives require at least 2 characters to activate, Durin will be quite helpful if you're looking to try these new effects out.<\/p>\n

    Consider pulling for Durin to open up Hexerein teams. <\/u><\/p>\n

    Pyro Sub-DPS <\/strong><\/p>\n

    While Pyro is a pretty popular element, it has a lack of characters who reliably deal Pyro damage while they're not the active character.<\/p>\n

    Xiangling is coveted by many teams, Mavuika has the potential to do more on-field, and other options are rather niche.<\/p>\n

    Durin's kit is perfectly suited for applying Pyro off-field and his resistance shred will boost the damage of your main DPS as well.<\/p>\n

    Consider pulling for Durin if you need another Pyro sub-DPS. <\/u><\/p>\n
