The\u00a0Ionia Celebration Patch Update<\/strong>\u00a0is mainly themed around the Chinese \u201cYear of the Horse\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0celebration. The new patch will introduce new exciting Festive-themed additions and gameplay UI. Starting\u00a0January 22nd,<\/strong>\u00a0the Devs will be replacing the\u00a0Bandle City gameplay map<\/strong>\u00a0with the all-new\u00a0Ionia Rift map.<\/strong><\/p>\n Wild Rift\u2019s Ionia Celebration Patch Highlights (Image Via Riot Games, Inc)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Ionia Rift map will be featuring new map additions making it thrilling to battle on for all players. The map additions are:<\/p>\n To kick off Wild Rift\u2019s Patch 7.0,\u00a0Smolder\u00a0<\/strong>will be the newest champion joining the rift this patch. The new ADC champion is also known as the\u00a0Fiery Fledgeling,<\/strong>\u00a0with an impressive damage scaling that makes it a powerful late game champion.<\/p>\n New Champion, Smolder in Wild Rift (Image Via Riot Games, Inc)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n One of Smolder\u2019s most powerful ability is that it can summon its mum to aid it in battle, spraying hot flames upon enemies across it\u2019s path. It is indeed a worthy new addition to the wild Rift Champions Roster.<\/p>\n Another champion hero who will debut in\u00a0Wild Rift Patch 7.0<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0Mel<\/strong>. Popular\u00a0Arcane<\/strong>\u00a0anime character,\u00a0Mel Medarda<\/strong>\u00a0will finally be making her debut in Wild Rift this season. She is a versatile mage that can be played as a Midlaner or Support.<\/p>\n New Champion, Mel in Wild Rift (Image Via Riot Games, Inc)<\/p>\n One of Mel\u2019s most notable ability is her second skill which mirrors enemy\u2019s attacks against her, reflecting it directly at them. This will actually bring forward exciting outplays that could easily change the tide of Battle.<\/p>\n The devs also highlighted a few extra adjustments or additions to the Wild Rift\u2019s Item build roster. They are as follows:<\/p>\n Arena mode in League of Legends: Wild Rift (Image via Riot Games, Inc)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Arena gameplay mode will also be returning in this patch allowing you and your duo to brawl it out with 14 other players. The Arena map will be optimized making it more akin to this Patch theme.<\/p>\n Starting from Patch 7.0 update, the\u00a0AAA-ARAM mode<\/strong>\u00a0will be a permanent gameplay mode for all players. The Devs has also optimized the Runes in AAA ARAM. Now, you\u2019ll not only receive more appropriate Runes based on the champion you\u2019re playing, but also better options overall.<\/p>\n In short, you won\u2019t be receiving Runes that is not suitable for your champion. The Devs will also be introducing a brand-new mechanic:\u00a0Flying Swords<\/strong>. I really can\u2019t wait for this new feature to release in this new patch, as it allows each champion to bring their own unique blades to battle.<\/p>\n The Devs will also be introducing new updates to the skin collection system.
