▌ Currency Wars: Zero-Sum Game Rewards Preview

■ How to Play

In each Currency Wars match, Trailblazers will face different enemies and bosses on 3 planes. As the match progresses, you must gather resources, assemble your squad, and build your strength to ultimately defeat the boss and claim victory.

Trailblazers start with an initial squad HP. In combat across multiple Nodes, you must defeat all enemies within the action value limit to win. If you fail to defeat all enemies in time, your squad HP will be reduced. The match concludes when your squad HP drops to 0.

The first season, “Zero-Sum Game,” will receive multiple expansions. Each update may introduce new characters, rotate existing ones, and adjust Bond compositions and effects. For future seasons, we also plan to re-categorize character roles (on-field/off-field, Bonds, empowerments, costs) and adjust Investment Strategies to give each season a unique gameplay style.

■ All-New Character Gameplay Abilities

Characters featured in Currency Wars will gain new, exclusive abilities for this gameplay mode, including “Positioning,” “Character Empowerment,” “Bonds,” and “Star Level.”

Each character has their own “Positioning,” categorized as “on-field,” “off-field,” or “on-field/off-field.” Before combat begins, placing a character in their correct position will activate their unique “Character Empowerment” ability, offering a distinct combat experience.

Characters have a unique “Character Empowerment” that either enhances their existing abilities or grants them brand-new combat abilities.

Each character belongs to a “Bond.” Deploying a certain number of characters from the same Bond will activate its corresponding effect, granting combat buffs. The more members in a Bond, the higher its level and the more powerful its effect.

Characters have a “Star Level,” starting at 1-star. Recruiting 3 identical characters at the same Star Level will automatically promote them, greatly enhancing their combat power. A 3-star character is typically in their strongest form.

■ Character Recruitment Rules

If a Trailblazer already owns a character available in Currency Wars, all of that character’s existing progression data will carry over.

If you do not own a character available in Currency Wars, a trial version will be provided.

If your owned character’s Level, Traces, Relics, Eidolons and their Light Cone Level are below the required standard, they will be automatically enhanced to a template version. This enhancement only applies within Currency Wars.

The Eidolons and exclusive Light Cones of “off-field” characters will be adjusted and enhanced within Currency Wars.

■ Gold Coins, Level, and Store

Gold Coins are the core economic resource in Currency Wars. They can be used to recruit characters, increase your squad size, and refresh the store.

You’ll receive a base amount of Gold Coins after each battle. You’ll also earn interest based on your current Gold Coin balance. Winning streaks grant additional Gold Coins.

Gold Coins can recruit characters of different costs: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Higher-cost characters are stronger, and characters of the same cost have comparable combat capabilities. As you level up, the chance of high-cost characters appearing in the store increases.

Trailblazers can spend Gold Coins on Experience to level up and increase their squad size. Your level determines the number of characters you can deploy.

The store refreshes automatically 1 time per Node. Trailblazers can also spend Gold Coins to refresh it manually. Additionally, you can lock the store to prevent it from refreshing automatically.

■ Equipment

Equipping equipment provides characters in Currency Wars with various stats and special combat effects, enhancing their combat capabilities.

Equipment is primarily obtained from Reward Nodes and Supply Nodes.

Equipment comes in two types: “basic equipment” and “advanced equipment.” Two pieces of “basic equipment” can be synthesized into one piece of “advanced equipment.” “Advanced equipment” inherits all the stats from its components and gains a unique combat effect.

Equipment that is currently equipped on a character can be removed with a “Disassembly Wrench.”

■ Investment Environment and Investment Strategies

During a match, Trailblazers can choose an “Investment Environment” and “Investment Strategy” at designated Nodes.

Both the “Investment Environment” and “Investment Strategy” provide certain buffs for the entire match.

■ Strategy

During a match, opening “Strategy” will recommend strategy guides based on the characters currently on the field and in the preparation area.

After applying a strategy, the recommended characters will be highlighted in the store and preparation area. The corresponding recommended equipment will also be indicated during the match.

■ Advantage Layout

Activating “Advantage Layout” provides additional mechanics for future matches or amplifies characters’ combat abilities.

Upon successful completion of a match, you will receive “Equivalent Banknote,” which are used to activate various mechanics in the “Advantage Layout.”

■ Standard Gambit

In “Standard Gambit,” you can challenge difficulties corresponding to your highest achieved rank. As your rank increases, the difficulty of the challenge will increase greatly.

Upon winning in “Standard Gambit,” you will be evaluated based on your remaining squad HP, which will raise your rank and unlock new challenge difficulties. As the difficulty increases, enemies will become tougher and gain new affixes.

Winning a “Standard Gambit” match grants Currency Wars Points and Ascension Points. The higher the difficulty, the more Ascension Points you’ll receive for clearing it.

In “Standard Gambit” mode, reaching certain ranks grants Stellar Jades and Ascension Points. Losing a match will not decrease your current rank.

■ Overclock Gambit

“Overclock Gambit” is a quick-play mode that takes less time and can be used to earn Currency Wars Point Rewards.

The available stage difficulties in “Overclock Gambit” depend on the highest rank you have achieved in “Standard Gambit.”

Victories in “Overclock Gambit” grant points, Ascension Points, and Equivalent Banknotes. For the same difficulty, you will earn slightly fewer Ascension Points and Equivalent Diamond Bills compared to “Standard Gambit.”
