Partner Digimon

There's no difference between the Partner Digimon, so feel free to pick whichever Digimon you would like to see all throughout your playthrough.

Partner Digimon start identical as Standard Types. At Level 20 (third Digivolution), you select a Battle Type—Attack, Defense, or SP—to define your active and passive skills. Because skills are tied strictly to Battle Type, your base Partner Digimon choice is purely cosmetic, mainly changing your attack animations.

Battle Types at Level 20 is the Bigger Choice

Battle Types

Each Battle Type caters to a different playstyle:

  • Attack: Focuses on pure aggression, offering passives that boost Attack Damage, Critical Hits, and Combo Damage.
  • Defense: Enhances survivability with DEF bonuses, alongside dedicated Stun and Counterattack buff trees.
  • SP: Focuses on skill utility, featuring passives that boost Skill Damage and HP Recovery.

Currently, SP stands out as one of the strongest choices—its HP recovery tree provides incredible sustain during wave clears, boss fights, and PvP.

Need a change? You can switch Battle Types at any time by tapping the skill tree icon in the top-left corner of your Partner Digimon menu. However, keep in mind that swapping types costs 500 DigiEmeralds.

How to Unlock More Partner Digimon

Max Out First Partner

You can unlock a second Partner Digimon, but you must meet two requirements first:

  1. Reach Mega Digivolution with your first Partner Digimon (which requires leveling them up significantly).
  2. Reach Lv. 99 with that same Digimon.

Once both conditions are met, you can spend 500 DigiEmeralds to unlock and raise your second Partner Digimon.
