Clash of Clans hit its 14th anniversary on August 2, 2026, and Supercell didn't hold back on the celebration calendar. This is easily the most date-heavy event month of the year — free cosmetics, a limited troop, a month-long card collection, double-resource windows, Clan Games, and a boosted Equipment slot are all stacked on top of each other, several with deadlines that come and go without much warning. If you only remember one thing from this guide, make it this: the Clashiversary Quests line rewards a free Royal Enchantress skin, and it's easy to miss because it lives outside the game client. Check the Supercell Store first — free skin on the line
Supercell is running the Clashiversary Quests through the Supercell Store rather than in-game, with a new quest unlocking daily throughout the anniversary window. Finish the full set and you walk away with the Royal Enchantress, a Royal Champion skin, at zero cost.
Along the way you'll also pick up Clash of Cards Packs, chests, and a Clan Castle Cake decoration. The reason this one catches so many players off guard is simple: nothing inside your village nudges you to go check the Store. If you've been playing normally this month but haven't opened it, that's step one before anything else here.
Already wrapped up: the Birthday Boom window and the cake obstacle
Two returning anniversary traditions already came and went in the first days of August. From August 3–5, a Mass Spell event handed out 15 extra Birthday Booms — the celebratory spell that drops a gift loaded with a bomb, damaging nearby troops on impact, with the leftover gift collectible by the defender for Elixir afterward.
The Clashiversary Cake obstacle also spawned in villages the way it does every year. If you've still got one sitting around, clear it for the resources — there's no reason to keep it as scenery, since a fresh one shows up again next anniversary regardless.
August 9–10: grab the free Elephant Rider
This year's limited, event-only troop is the Elephant Rider — a community-designed unit built to charge straight into walls, punch through large sections of them, and then split into two separate troops afterward.
It's being given away for free on August 9–10 as a mass-troop giveaway, then sticks around afterward as part of the month's medal event. A two-day window for a free unit is tight, so this is worth setting a reminder for specifically.
One thing worth clearing up since it's a common point of confusion: the Elephant Rider is only around for this season. It doesn't become a permanent option in your army camp once August ends.
All the way to August 31: the medal event
The month's medal event runs through the end of August, built around the Elephant Rider and following the same format Clash has used for medal events all year — fight in multiplayer battles to collect a resource, push a rewards track, bank medals, then spend those medals at the Trader on exclusive rewards like Hero Equipment and skins.
Of everything happening this month, medal events are usually the strongest use of a mid-progression account's time, because whatever you buy from the Trader becomes permanent power rather than a one-time resource drop. If you're short on time this month, prioritize this over almost everything except the free giveaways above.
August 15–17 and 29–31: double Resource Fest windows
Resource Fest runs twice in August, each time bringing a 4x boost to collector output alongside extra help from the Goblin Builder.
The trick with these windows is timing your builds around them rather than through them — starting a long upgrade the day before Resource Fest hits wastes the multiplier, while saving up your collectors and cashing them in during the boost doesn't. If you're saving toward a Town Hall upgrade, these two three-day stretches are worth more than weeks of ordinary resource collecting.
August 22–28: Clan Games week
A standard Clan Games week lands here, and the usual playbook still applies: coordinate with your clanmates on which challenges to split up, don't waste attacks clearing low-point tasks nobody needs, and make sure your clan is tracking toward the reward tier you're aiming for before the final day arrives.
August 26–31: Revenge Deck gets boosted
For these six days, the Revenge Deck Epic Equipment is temporarily maxed out in your Hero Hall regardless of your actual investment. It's effectively a free trial run — a chance to see whether the equipment is worth committing Ore to before you spend anything on it for real.
All month long: Clash of Cards
This one runs the entire month, with card trading closing at 08:00 UTC on September 2.
You earn card packs from battles — two guaranteed per day, plus an initial opening batch — and trade duplicates with clanmates via Clan Chat, or exchange them directly at the Trader's Card Shop. Collection milestones hand out Ore and decorations along the way, with the top prize being the Manga Fury Prince skin at 60 unique cards; completing every rarity set separately also nets you an Elixir Rune, a Dark Elixir Rune, a Gold Rune, and a Legendary Chest.
The detail that trips people up: opening more packs isn't the same as owning more unique cards, since duplicates are guaranteed. Trading with clanmates — not grinding more battles — is what actually gets you to 60. Start coordinating trades early in the month instead of scrambling in the final week, and remember the Clash of Cards Collector decoration is permanent and lets you browse other players' collections before you send a trade request.
Three free skins, three different tracks
August is unusually generous with cosmetics — there are three separate Royal Champion skins available through three completely different systems:
