Clash of Clans on PC Update All you need to know

Hey chief, Clash of Clans is about to bring some brand-new changes to your village. Supercell recently celebrated the 9th anniversary of Clash of Clans on 2nd August 2021. The anniversary celebration offered some amazing deals, lots of cakes, a flaming fiery statue, and a lot of other small treats for the fans. Seems like the treat isn’t over yet, as fans are about to see some major balance changes in the game.

The Announcement

Supercell took to Clash of Clans’ Twitter handle to make the announcement minutes ago. The time of the maintenance break hasn’t been announced yet. From the looks of it, it seems to be very near.

“It is time for a little round of balance changes! See what’s changing. We’re hoping to make these changes this week still! Exact maintenance time TBD, watch this space!”, the tweet read.

It was also stated in the press release that all replays will be wiped during the upcoming maintenance. This will be done because the listed changes will affect game mechanics and they regret the inconvenience caused. So, if you want to record a strategy or attack you liked, revisit the replays now!

The Changes

Balance changes are often done in a game to buff up some characters or machinery and reduce the others. Well, nothing’s been dialed down this time and things are only going to get better. The coming balance changes can be found below:

Dragon

Level 4 Dragon hit points will be increased from 2600 to 2700. This will be done to help smoothen the transition players face from Town Hall 8 to Town Hall 9. Dragons are probably the most used troop by players at almost all townhall levels. If used right, they can completely wreck the opponents’ base. So, buffing up Dragon of any level is a great move.

Valkyrie

Level 9 Valkyrie’s hit points will be increased from 1850 to 1900. Unfortunately, over the years Valkyries have become a troop that is rarely used in major attack strategies. So, to promote the use of Valkyries in higher Town Hall players, the hit points will be increased.

Seeking Air Mine

Let’s come to your village’s defenses and traps now. The projectile speed of seeking air mine (Anti-air trap) will be increased from 2.5 to 3.5 tiles per second. This will help the Seeking Air Mine charge against Battle Blimps better. Battle Blimps have a movement speed of 2.25 tiles per second, therefore, it is necessary to provide seeking mines more speed to keep things fair.

X-Bow

X-Bow range while in ‘Air & Ground Mode’ will be increased by 0.5 tiles, from 11.0 to 11.5. This is applicable to players on any Town Hall level post 9 since th9 is where you unlock X-Bow. This will be done to make X-Bows more effective against both ground and air attacks by offering a better range. The in-game statistics will still show the range as 11 because it doesn’t support decibel figures. But do not worry because the range will actually be 11.5.

These are some great balance changes, especially the Seeking Air Mine speed buff. Those who play know, that Clash of Clans still has the ability to cheer up and excite its audience. This is yet another move in the right direction for Supercell.
