Pokémon Unite Azumarill Gameplay Tips
Our Pokémon Unite Azumarill guide includes the perfect game plan for the early and late game during the Unite battles.
Early Game
In the early game, Azumarils’ primary objective is to play aggressively and wither down opponents in one-on-one fights and take as many wild Pokémon as possible. Because of this, Azumarill should be able to stack up some kills and win lane, letting players snowball into the late game. In the lane, one should be able to fight one-on-one against the most opposing Pokémon.
Therefore, players must make sure to take advantage of any opportunities and punish opponents, when possible. During the early game, the partner in the lane is usually a Support. Players must make sure to communicate to the partner in the lane what plays they wish to make.
For example, if players see an enemy disposition, they must make sure to communicate to the teammate to play aggressively. Once Drednaw spawns, one should be around level 7 and fully evolved. With the achievement of levels 7-8, Azumarill reaches its highest power spike where they should attempt to fight for Drednaw if they’re ahead.
Late Game
By the late game, one should have a level lead from making aggressive early-game plays. Players should try to use this level, leading to carry the rest of the team ahead. Like all other characters, securing Zapdos with the team is a necessity. Once Zapdos spawns, Azumarill should try to stay out of the vision of the enemy team. In this way, players will be able to pick out a single enemy at a time.
Positioning of Azumarill
Being an all-rounder, Azumarill is primarily played in the bottom lane with a supporting Pokémon. However, Azumarill can also be played in the center lane, because of the great amount of damage Azumarill does to isolated Pokémon.
Because all-rounders have a balance between offense and defense, players must make sure to position themselves in front of their allies to protect them or stay behind them, instead, if they need to deal lots of damage while receiving little in return.
Azumarill specializes in one-on-one fights, so players should try to use their high mobility in teamfights to move around the opposing team and single out an enemy target. With Azumarill, one should prioritize taking out lower health or weaker enemies, because Azumarill is able to chase after almost any character to commit to attacking and knocking them out without taking too much damage as a result.
