It all began in ancient times (2018), when a group of rogue cultivators (us) poured all our efforts into creating a crude magic tool — the original MUD version of Cultivation World — making it one of the earliest cultivation games!
Four years after the first generation of Cultivation World, we are proud to launch Journey to Immortality 2!
Thanks to the love and tolerance of all fellow Daoists over these four years, we have had the motivation and passion to create this sequel. Although we went through many revisions and overhauls, we finally completed it!
This sequel is not a replacement for its predecessor. Journey to Immortality 2 and Cultivation World will each receive independent updates, with different system architectures and artistic styles, offering everyone a unique gaming experience!
In Journey to Immortality 2, the visual presentation has been greatly enhanced. The protagonist is no longer just a static image but can freely move across a vast, ink-wash style open world.
Journey to Immortality 2 not only retains the beloved features from the previous game, such as sect inheritance, flexible physique combinations, self-created skills, and self-built sects, but also introduces many new and distinctive systems.

Journey to Immortality 2 is an ink-wash style idle cultivation RPG. In this game, fellow Daoists start as novice cultivators, gradually advancing through realms, breaking through demonic obstacles, and crossing tribulation thunders. In this mystical cultivation world, you will seek immortals and the Dao, ascend with a single thought, roam across the three realms, and embark on the path to the limitless immortal way!
【Sandbox Map】
The game features a vast sandbox map where fellow Daoists can freely control their character to move anywhere. On the map, you will find various sects in the mortal world. Once you reach a certain realm, you can choose your preferred sect to join. There are also numerous rumors and trivial matters — you can listen to the love, hatred, and entanglements of many cultivators, complete tasks for them, and earn rewards. Various adventure events allow you to bond with Dao companions and complete challenges for rewards.
【Crafting System】
Equipment forged through the crafting system not only has higher base stats but also has a chance to gain affixes that increase various attributes. The more affixes an item has and the rarer they are, the greater the boost it provides. If you're not satisfied with the affixes, you can reforge them to reshape their attributes. Even better than affixes are set bonuses, which activate when a full set is collected and can turn the tide of battle. Both affixes and set bonuses can only be obtained through forging.
【Dao Companion / Soulmate】
Cultivation emphasizes "wealth, partners, methods, and land," with partners ranking second — a testament to their importance. In the game, you can befriend multiple Dao companions. Not only can they increase your cultivation speed, but each also offers unique benefits, such as improving tribulation success rates or further enhancing cultivation efficiency. Dao companions can also equip gear and fight alongside you in battle.
【Magic Artifact & Formation】
Magic artifacts are one of the core ways to boost your strength, not only because they provide additional stats but also because of the formations they unlock. Different artifacts activate different formations. Some formations grant health regeneration, while others provide an extra shield to absorb damage. Mastering the flexible use of artifacts and formations is the best proof of becoming a high-level cultivator.
