How to Play Chinese Chess Xiangqi:
- Objective: The goal is to checkmate your opponent's General (King of Chinese Chess).
- Pieces and Movements (象棋經典版):
+ General: Moves one point either horizontally or vertically within the palace.
+ Advisors: Moves one point diagonally within the palace.
+ Elephants: Moves exactly two points diagonally and cannot cross the river.
+ Horses: Moves in an L-shape: two points in one direction and then one point perpendicular.
+ Chariots: Moves any number of points horizontally or vertically.
+ Cannons: Moves like Chariots but captures by jumping over exactly one piece.
+ Soldiers: Moves one point forward until crossing the river, then can move and capture one point horizontally.
- Game Phases: The game consists of three main phases:
