SEGA and ATLUS have announced that their turn-based ARPG, Persona5: The Phantom X, is set to launch on mobile and PC on June 26, 2025. First announced in 2023, it held its third CBT in China, followed by an OBT in April 2024 there, before aiming for Japanese and Global launches.

Persona5: The Phantom X is a turn-based action RPG set in the iconic world of Persona 5, and the latest addition in the beloved Persona series. Set in a mysterious Tokyo where desire is lost, you play as a student leading a double life as Phantom Thief, working to change the twisted desires of corrupt adults.
What excites me is that this isn’t just a remake, but a new story with a new protagonist and a whole cast of Phantom Thieves. That being said, you can look forward to fan-favourites like Joker making a special appearance through special contracts, which is great.
Now, coming to the game, there’s a lot to explore. By day, you’ll live your student life, doing part-time jobs, engaging in club activities, and gaining life experience. But things change at night, as you explore cognitive dungeons, steal treasures, and take on various challenges to make your goal come true.

That said, there’s also a new PvE mode, called The Velvet Trials, along with features like the Guild that lets you interact with other players. I’m also eager for the Synergy System, where, by building various close relationships with characters, you can unlock exclusive side stories from ATLUS themselves..
All in all, the game looks very promising, bringing a new storyline, new characters and Personas, part-time jobs, mini-games, new palace and Mementoes, PvE mode, and more. Oh, not to forget, it’ll also include NPC events and other side stories.
