Metal Gear Solid 3’s Naked Snake—voiced by the character’s original actor David Hayter—arrives in Delta Force on Jan. 1 as a new appearance option for the game’s stealth-assault character Nox.

The Metal Gear Solid collaboration with the free-to-play shooter starts with the new season, Ahsarah, which lands on Dec. 19 and culminates with the new appearance in the new year. Delta Force Game Director Shadow Guo said the idea of collaborating with Konami stemmed from the team’s longtime love of Metal Gear Solid.
“I myself am a big fan of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, like many developers from our team, because we grew up playing this series,” he said. “Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is one of my favorite installments, and METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER is such a wonderful way to revisit a classic.
“With Delta Force being an Operator-based tactical shooter, we feel the theme and genre of Metal Gear Solid is just right for our game, and offers a great opportunity for our team to deliver something really cool for both Delta Force and Metal Gear Solid players. So we talked with the KONAMI team and, boom, we have this collaboration!”
The initial discussion between Delta Force developer Team Jade and Konami kicked off with the Delta Force team saying they wanted to do something with Naked Snake.
“He’s a very iconic character, and it just so happens that Konami was about to release Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, so we quickly agreed on this very character,” Guo said.
As mentioned, Naked Snake will appear in Delta Force as an Operator Appearance for Nox. Nox arrived in April with Delta Force’s Season Four. He wears night vision goggles, and his gear and gadgets are designed around stealth—including an ability that reduces sounds and gives him a movement boost, a small tracking drone that explodes on contact, and a tactical flashbang.
Now players have the ability to pair this stealthy character with a new Naked Snake look in both the game’s Operations and Warfare multiplayer modes.
“We chose Nox as we feel this is the best match,” Guo said. “If you look at his backstory, Nox has a long and complicated history, and his fighting style emphasizes stealthy combat and precise timing. We feel this character really resonates very well with Naked Snake.”
Of course, how can you give Nox the look of Naked Snake without also giving him his voice?
“We are so grateful that the wonderful Konami team helped make this happen,” Guo said. “Our team was over the moon to work with David Hayter! Together with the Konami team, we have created over 500 lines for this collaboration, and we can’t wait for players to hear them.”
Guo declined to go into the specifics of how Naked Snake is being incorporated into the game, saying he’d rather players find out for themselves. He did say that the collaboration will also include themed Firearm Appearances, collectible items, and more.
And with the Metal Gear Solid collab on the cusp of release, the team behind Delta Force is already working on future collaborations. Guo said the team believes that partnering with other titles is a great way to bridge different communities, while at the same time, introducing meaningful new content to Delta Force.
“Our team had a lot of fun making this collaboration a reality, and we hope the players will enjoy everything we have prepared,” he said. “As we head into 2026, Delta Force will have even more awesome content for our players—new maps, new Operators, new and exciting ways to play the game (like full-scene destruction in Warfare mode), and even more, and we can’t wait for our players to experience them all!”
