Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Now Available on MEmu

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel was officially released on January 19, and while many expected the digital trading card game to be popular, few knew it would prove as successful as it has been. Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is one of the most popular games on Steam, peaking over 100,000 concurrent players every day. Yet Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel hasn’t even reached its full audience. Up until today, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel hasn’t been available on mobile devices. That’s now changed.

Konami announced on Wednesday that Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel‘s mobile support had arrived and that the game was now available on both Android and iOS devices. There was no fanfare or celebration surrounding the announcement. Konami simply put Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel out on both mobile platforms and then confirmed their availability on social media. It’ll be warmly welcomed by mobile gamers who don’t have access to a video game console or PC.

Mobile players of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will join an already extremely active community of players once they download the game and start playing. Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is already available on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as PC and Nintendo Switch. Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel also has cross-play and cross-progression, so those who started on other platforms can jump over to iOS and Android if that’s their preferred platform.

No reason was ever provided by Konami for why Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel was delayed on mobile devices. It’s possible that Konami believed it needed to space out the releases to ensure that its servers weren’t overwhelmed at launch. It’s also possible that Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel simply needed additional optimization time on mobile devices, too. Whatever the reason, it’s taken Konami an additional couple of weeks to get the mobile port ready. It’s entirely free to play, so iOS and Android users can pick it up and play now.
