eFootball 2026 is releasing the v5.2.2 patch update on January 8th, 2026. While this patch may not be the most exciting update on its own, the return of the highly anticipated Treasure Link on the same day is sure to draw attention. Still, the update itself is expected to introduce some interesting changes.

Treasure Link
The biggest news this year is undoubtedly the return of Treasure Link. While it is almost certain that Epic card chance deals will be featured again, the specific players included have yet to be revealed. Speculation is growing that new Legends, such as Riccardo Ferri, may be introduced, while older cards could also make a reappearance.
Selection Contract
As many await Treasure Link’s arrival, the Festive Season campaign is entering its final week. The highlight is the long-awaited release of the Selection Contract. I’ve reviewed all seven available players; you can also refer to the guide and tier list to assist with your decision.
New Manager and Player Pack refresh
There’s also a strong chance we’ll see a new manager added. New managers have been released monthly, and this update will likely continue that trend. The most recent addition was Ronald Koeman, who arrived with the December 2025 update.
If a new Link-Up Playstyle is introduced, we can also expect a corresponding 200-player pack featuring two Epic cards and two Show Time cards. Additionally, a new Nominating Contract for January is confirmed to arrive, replacing the current one that is expiring.
New Licenses and Kits
With every patch update, licenses and kits are typically refreshed. New face updates are also quite likely, though nothing has been confirmed at this time.
