Roco Kingdom Heads Global With Its First Closed Beta
Announced during Gamescom's Opening Night Live, the global version of Roco Kingdom is being developed by Morefun Studios, a Tencent studio. The game combines open-world exploration, creature collecting, social gameplay, and RPG combat in the magical continent of Carosia.

The global release will eventually arrive on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, iOS, and Android, although a full launch date has not yet been announced. The first global test will focus on PC and mobile platforms.
The upcoming Quack Quack Test is scheduled to begin on:
- Date: October 27, 2026
- Time: 02:00 UTC
- Platforms: PC, Android, and iOS
- Languages: English and Japanese
- Monetization: No in-game purchases during the test
- Progression: Cross-platform progress synchronization
- Test data: All characters and progress will be wiped after the beta
The game is still under active development, so the beta's features, localization, performance, and balance should not be considered representative of the final release.
Explore the Magical World of Carosia
At the heart of Roco Kingdom is Carosia, a vibrant open world filled with different environments, climates, and habitats.

Players can explore the world alone or team up with friends while discovering the creatures that inhabit each region. Rather than simply collecting monsters, Roco Kingdom focuses on building relationships with them and creating a team that fits your preferred playstyle.
The game features more than 400 unique Jinies, with individual creatures differing in characteristics such as size, height, and weight. Players can capture, train, bond with, and battle alongside their Jinies as they progress through the world.
More Than Just a Creature-Collecting RPG
While collecting Jinies is one of Roco Kingdom's biggest attractions, the game also incorporates a range of social and life-simulation features.

Players can:
- Explore Carosia's open world
- Collect and train hundreds of Jinies
- Build their own Jini team
- Team up with friends across platforms
- Ride Jinies together
- Decorate and customize their homes
- Farm and participate in relaxing activities
- Visit friends' homes
- Take part in strategic turn-based PvP
This combination gives Roco Kingdom a broader gameplay loop than a traditional creature-collecting RPG, mixing exploration, combat, collection, and social interaction.
Strategic Turn-Based Battles
Roco Kingdom also puts a strong emphasis on tactical combat. Players can build teams around different Jini classes, matchups, and abilities before taking on opponents in turn-based battles.

Morefun has also highlighted its approach to PvP, with the game designed to avoid pay-to-win mechanics. This means team composition and battle strategy are intended to play a major role in competitive encounters.
Roco Kingdom Already Has a Huge Player Base in China
Although the global version is still preparing for its first international test, Roco Kingdom already has significant momentum in China.
The franchise has more than 16 years of history and over 350 million registered browser-game players. The latest Roco Kingdom reportedly attracted more than 15 million players within its first 13 hours and recorded an average daily active user count of more than 13 million across PC and mobile during its first month.
The global launch therefore represents a major expansion for the long-running franchise, introducing its creature-filled world to international players for the first time.

Roco Kingdom Global Release Date
At the moment, Roco Kingdom does not have an announced global launch date. The October 27 date refers specifically to the first global Closed Beta Test.
The final game is planned as a free-to-play cross-platform title for PC, consoles, and mobile, with the global version expected to expand its content and features following the testing phase.
For creature-collecting RPG fans, the upcoming beta will be the first major opportunity to experience Roco Kingdom outside its original market. With hundreds of Jinies, a large open world, multiplayer exploration, social features, and strategic battles, the game is shaping up to be one of the more ambitious creature-collecting adventures heading to PC and mobile.
