Wuthering Waves Version 2.7 Dawn Breaks on Dark Tides update to release on October 9th, 2025

Wuthering Waves has announced the upcoming version 2.7 update to arrive soon. With the ongoing 2.6, the game has already marked down the date and showcased what is waiting for the players. The title has shared everything that players can expect to see on a live stream yesterday.

The special broadcast last night teased two new Resonators, a new main quest, echoes, convenes, optimizations, and more. The update will be available across all platforms on October 9th, 2025 (UTC+8).

New Resonators and Resonator Convene will be available

Every time the game releases an update, we wait to see the new resonators. This time, there will be two new:

Wuthering Waves Version 2.7 Update brings new Main Quests

Besides the resonators, there will be new main quests. Unlike the last update, we are going to get one more quest this time. Here are the upcoming quests:

WuWa Version 2.7 Update brings new Weapons, Echoes, and Sonata Effect

Apart from the characters, the game will also bring two new weapons. With their special abilities and effects, these two will perfectly match the title’s vibe in every aspect.

Sonata Effects

Sonata Effects are the set bonuses in Wuthering Waves and provide a variety of useful stat bonuses.

Flamewing’s Shadow – 3pcs Set: Dealing Echo Skill DMG increases Heavy Attack Crit. Rate by 20% for 6s. Dealing Heavy Attack DMG increases Echo Skill Crit. Rate by 20% for 6s. While both effects are active, gain 16% Fusion DMG Bonus.

New Event arriving with WuWa Version 2.7 Update

There will be a lot of events ongoing throughout the 2.7 update. Let’s take a look at the special events. So far, we do not know what the regular events will be.

Optimizations coming with the Wuthering Waves Version 2.7 update

Apart from the main content, WuWa’s version 2.7 update is also bringing several optimizations to improve your gameplay experience. Here’s a look at the key improvements:

Resonator Ascension Planner

The Resonator Ascension Planner will be available in Version 2.7. This new feature can be accessed via the Resonator menu. The planner has four sections: Resonator, Weapon, Echo, and Skill. Personalized plans will be automatically generated for all Resonators based on your content SOL3 Phase.

Better Quest Experience

The “Journey Log” feature will be added to the Quest system. Journey Log allows you to view all the Main Quests (chapters), with each chapter divided into different Acts. In future updates, Journey Log will incorporate other Quest types.

UI Upgrade & New Features

The event menu will be upgraded; Events will be divided into three categories: Featured Events, Recurring Events, and Permanent Events, for ease of access. A new summary panel for Recurring Events will be added to the map, where you’ll be able to get reminders for these events and track your current progress.
The Gallery will include a new category: Enemies. You can view detailed information on all the enemies you’ve defeated on your journey
The “Terminal Swap” feature will also be added. Upon completing Version 2.7’s Main Quests, you can obtain a new Terminal, “Daylight Flintstone.” You can then switch between Terminals.

Environmental Interactions

Global Filter will be made available across all platforms in Version 2.7. (Mobile users can try out this feature when it becomes available in Version 2.7.)
The “Eye Comfort” option will be added to the Settings menu. By clicking into the “Eye Comfort” settings, you can customize color temperature, brightness, intensity, and other parameters.
Additionally, in Version 2.7, the interactive effects and details are further refined; more Resonators and skills can interact with the environment, making exploration more immersive.

New collaboration and merchandise dealing

Upcoming collaborations and merchandise are super cool as well. Besides, the game will feature several beautiful dresses!
