Arknights: Endfield 1.1 Update – Headhunting Rework, Zipline Map, and Major Optimizations

Arknights: Endfield is preparing a new wave of long-term optimizations driven by in-game data and direct player feedback. The majority of these enhancements are planned for implementation across the next two version updates.

While the full list of adjustments is extensive, three key improvements stand out immediately:

  • Increased acquisition of Headhunting resources for early-game players.
  • The addition of Mini-Map support during Zipline traversal.
  • A new remote one-click collection feature for the Resource Recycling Station.

Headhunting Resource Boost: More Recruitment Opportunities in the Early Game

To address limited access to pulls during the initial stages of progression, the development team is implementing several key changes. These updates aim to smooth out early roster building and reduce progression pressure for new players.

The following adjustments will be made:

  • Additional Channels: More avenues will be added for acquiring early-game Headhunting resources.
  • Integrated Trade Quota: Access to the Integrated Trade Quota will be expanded.
  • Mission Optimization: Selected Action Manual missions are being refined to better support new players.

Material Stage Quality of Life Improvement
In a separate optimization, material stages have been adjusted for convenience. Squads can now enter material stages at full HP, removing the need for unnecessary pre-battle recovery and allowing for a smoother farming experience.

Exploration Upgrade: Mini-Map Now Available During Zipline Travel

Exploration clarity is receiving a significant upgrade to make traversal more intuitive.

In a highly requested quality-of-life improvement, players will now be able to view the Mini-Map while using Ziplines. This change greatly enhances spatial awareness, allowing for smoother navigation through vertical environments without disorienting the player.

Additional exploration enhancements include:

  • Increased Overlook Range: The maximum visible range in Overlook Mode has been extended.
  • Convenient Exit: PC players can now exit Overlook Mode instantly by pressing the Esc key.

The addition of the Mini-Map to Zipline traversal stands out as one of the most impactful improvements in this update, making movement across the map feel seamless and far more intuitive.

Remote Resource Recycling Station: One-Click Collection

Base management becomes significantly more efficient with the introduction of remote collection support.

Under certain conditions, the Resource Recycling Station can now be collected remotely with a single click—drastically reducing the need for repetitive manual interactions and allowing players to focus on exploration and combat.

Additional Base Management Improvements:

  • Dijiang Cabin: Quick collection and auto-production scheduling are now available.
  • Dijiang Reception Room: Clues can now be collected quickly and placed automatically.
  • Notification Cleanup: The frequency of red-dot notifications has been reduced.
  • Item Safety: A new mail temporary storage system has been implemented for precious collectibles.

For players focused on efficiency, this update represents a major reduction in routine management time, streamlining the daily loop of base upkeep.

Additional System & Combat Optimizations

Beyond the headline features, several other refinements have been confirmed to enhance overall gameplay:

  • Combat Clarity: Enemy attack indicators have been made clearer, improving reaction times during encounters.
  • Unit Behavior: Squad auto-pickup and movement logic have been improved for smoother navigation.
  • Engagement Logic: Disengagement mechanics have been adjusted to feel more responsive.
  • UI & Management: Shared Device management has been streamlined, and UI clarity has been improved for easier navigation.
  • Zipline Distinction: A clearer visual distinction has been added between self-built and shared Ziplines.
  • Manufacturing Access: Manufacturing functions are now available outside the Integrated Core area.
  • Progression Tracking: The Simulation Space completion display has been enhanced, along with new related Etched Badges.

Together, these changes improve system clarity, combat flow, and overall usability—making for a smoother experience across the board.

A Clear Quality-of-Life Direction

While the optimization list is extensive, the core focus is clear:

  • More accessible early Headhunting resources to ease roster building.
  • Stronger exploration guidance through the Zipline Mini-Map addition.
  • Faster base management via remote one-click collection.

Rather than overhauling core mechanics, this update refines progression pacing, exploration clarity, and operational efficiency—signaling a long-term commitment to shaping Arknights: Endfield into a more polished and player-friendly experience.
