Brawl Stars August 2026 Brawl Talk: What's New?
The August Brawl Talk focuses on the next two seasons of Brawl Stars, with the biggest announcements including:
- Two new Brawlers: Cosmo and Vince
- Brawler Blast replacing Starr Road
- A Duolingo collaboration
- A new 20-player Mega Boss event
- New September and October seasonal content
- New Brawloween skins
- Moon Festival and Supercell MAKE skins
- Six new Buffies
- Free Credits for players following the Brawler unlock system changes
New Brawler: Cosmo
Cosmo is the first new Brawler coming with the September 2026 season. He is a ranged Mythic Brawler and the first member of a new Scientist Trio.

Cosmo's main attack fires three cosmic projectiles. These projectiles travel a long distance and become larger as they move across the battlefield, giving him an interesting long-range attack pattern.
His Super creates a magnetic field around an enemy. Projectiles from Cosmo and his teammates can then home toward enemies within the field, potentially making it especially useful during team fights.
Cosmo is scheduled to arrive with the September 2026 season.
New Brawler: Vince
The second new Brawler is Vince, who will arrive during the October 2026 Brawloween season.

Vince works at Juju's Oddities Shop and has a rather unusual way of fighting. His basic attack lets him throw coffee mugs at enemies from a distance.
His abilities revolve around caterpillars and moths. Vince can collect caterpillars during a match and transform them into moths, which can then be used with his Super. The more caterpillars he collects, the more moths he can unleash.
This gives Vince a unique mechanic that rewards players who can collect resources while staying active in battle.
Brawler Blast Replaces Starr Road
One of the biggest changes announced in the August Brawl Talk is Brawler Blast, which replaces the existing Starr Road system.

Instead of selecting a specific Brawler to unlock, Brawler Blast gives players a more randomized way to expand their collection. Players can use Credits to unlock Brawlers while progressing through the new system.
Brawler Blast also features progression elements that can provide additional upgrades, including higher Power Levels and items such as Gadgets, Star Powers, and Gears.
The new system is scheduled to go live before the September season begins. To help players adjust to the change, Brawl Stars is also giving players 1,500 Credits following the update.
Brawl Stars x Duolingo Collaboration
Brawl Stars is teaming up with Duolingo for a special collaboration event.

The crossover introduces a new community event featuring Duo, the famous green Duolingo mascot. Players will take part in a large-scale 20-player Mega Boss battle against an enraged Duo.
However, this battle is not simply about dealing as much damage as possible.
During the event, Duo will ask players questions with multiple answers. Players must choose the correct answer to receive beneficial effects, while incorrect answers can result in negative consequences.
The Duolingo community event is scheduled to begin on September 19, 2026.
Players will also have opportunities to earn rewards such as Starr Drops and Chaos Drops through the event.
Hide and Seek game mode
Besides the Duolingo mode, Brawl Stars is also adding a new Hide and Seek game mode. Here, one player becomes the Seeker and has to find and eliminate the other three players. Once a round ends, another player gets the chance to become the Seeker, and the process continues until everyone has had their turn.

There’s also a new Prop Hunt modifier, which lets you literally become part of the scenery (like Mecha Chameleon?) when you stand still. This new game mode with the Prop Hunt modifier will be available during the upcoming Brawl-O-Ween season.
September 2026 Season: Back to School
The September season will have a Back to School theme, bringing several new skin collections to Brawl Stars.
The Royale Academy lineup includes skins such as:

- Principal
- Headteacher
- Queen Nani
- Drum Major Najia
- Academy Ollie
- Academy Mandy
The game will also introduce the Monster Academy theme, featuring skins including Head Coach, Trainer, Team Coach Hank, and Trash Goblin Darryl.
These cosmetics will be distributed through the Brawl Pass and Shop.
Brawloween 2026 Skins
October brings the return of the spooky season with new Brawloween content.
The upcoming Brawloween lineup includes:

- Fortune Teller P.
- Mr. Psychic
- Mystic P.
- Cursed
- Jolly Ghost
- Creepy Shade
- Flame Rider Chuck
- Terronaut Damian
- Dr. Bellenstein
- Bellenstein's Monster Piper
The October season will also introduce Vince as the latest Brawler.
Moon Festival and Supercell MAKE Skins
The new content does not stop with seasonal skins. Brawl Stars will also add new cosmetics for the Moon Festival, including Moonlight-themed skins for Lola and Eve.

The update will also feature several community-designed skins created through the Supercell MAKE program. Supercell has confirmed that five Supercell MAKE skins are included in the upcoming content.
New Buffies Coming to Brawl Stars
The upcoming seasons will also introduce several new Buffies.

The September season is set to add Buffies for:
- Poco
- El Primo
- Amber
The Graveyard Trio will also receive Buffies for:
- Gus
- Chuck
- Shade
These additions give players more ways to customize and strengthen their favorite Brawlers.
When Does the Next Brawl Stars Season Start?
The next Brawl Stars Back to School season is scheduled to begin in early September 2026, with the new content arriving around the start of the month. The September season will introduce Cosmo, Brawler Blast, the Duolingo collaboration, new skins, and additional gameplay changes.

Final Thoughts
The August 2026 Brawl Talk is shaping up to be an important update for Brawl Stars players. Brawler Blast will significantly change how players unlock new Brawlers, while Cosmo and Vince add two very different playstyles to the roster.
The Duolingo collaboration is another standout feature, combining Brawl Stars combat with trivia-based mechanics in a large-scale community event.
With new Buffies, Back to School cosmetics, Brawloween skins, Moon Festival content, and Supercell MAKE creations also on the way, there is plenty for players to look forward to in the next two seasons.
